Recipe For Dairy Free Sour Cream

Here are the four ingredients we need for our Vegan Dairy Free Sour Cream (tofu sour cream):

  • Silken Tofu – silken tofu is doing a great job here for mimicking the creamy texture of sour cream. You can use silken and soft tofu, but not lite-firm, firm, and extra-firm.
  • Apple cider vinegar – or white vinegar.
  • Fresh lemon juice –or bottled lemon juice works too.
  • Salt 

How to make Vegan Dairy Free Sour Cream

  1. Place well-drained silken tofu in the high-speed blender or food processor. Add apple cider vinegar, lemon juice, and salt. Put the lid on.
  2. Blend it on high-speed until smooth. Viola! It’s ready to go!😄 Keep in a clean and sealed container in a refrigerator, it will last up to a week.

Ingredients

  • 7 oz Silken Tofu (Note1) or soft tofu approx. 200g
  • 4 tsp Apple Cider Vinegar
  • 2 tsp Lemon Juice
  • ½ tsp Salt
