Vegan Sour cream is so versatile and fat-free. You can use it on nearly everything like Vegan Fajitas, Vegan ChiliVegan Birria Tacos, Vegan Falafel Gyro, and Vegan Baked Potato.

We often find it difficult or too expensive to find dairy-free sour cream, so we decided to make our own. 

This vegan sour cream with tofu is surprisingly delicious. It has such a unique texture and mouthfeel like the real one.

Sometimes all you need is a spoonful of vegan sour cream to make your meal complete!

Now you can make this dairy-free vegan sour cream with 4 ingredients at home in no time!

Recipe For Vegan Sour Cream

Here are the four ingredients we need:

  • Silken Tofu – silken tofu is doing a great job here of mimicking the creamy texture of sour cream. You can use silken and soft tofu, but not lite-firm, firm, and extra-firm.
  • Apple cider vinegar – or white vinegar.
  • Fresh lemon juice –or bottled lemon juice works too.
  • Salt 

How to make Vegan Dairy Free Sour Cream

  1. Place well-drained silken tofu in the high-speed blender or food processor. Add apple cider vinegar, lemon juice, and salt. Put the lid on.
  2. Blend it on high speed until smooth. Viola! It’s ready to go!😄 Keep in a clean and sealed container in a refrigerator, it will last up to a week.
