This is the best Asian Marinated Tofu recipe that I have ever made. It's easy to prepare with a flavourful Asian marinade. You need to try this recipe out!
1. Open a packet of tofu and drain excessive liquid from the package. Place the tofu on a cutting board and use paper towels to dry the surface of the tofu. For optimal absorption of the marinade flavors, use a fork to prick the firmtofu. (Don’t skip this step!)
2. Make sure you prick all sides.
3. Cut the tofu into 1 inch/2.5 cm thick slices.
4. Then cut the tofu into cubes (1 inch/2.5 cm) and place the cubed tofu pieces in a large ziploc bag.
5. In a mixing bowl, add the marinade ingredients and whisk until well blended.
6. Pour the marinade sauce into a ziploc bag (or a plastic bag).
7. Seal the bag and place it in the fridge. Let it marinate overnight.
8. Remove the tofu from the marinade and prepare the tofu cubes in an air fryer, an oven, or cook in a skillet until it becomes crispy tofu. Place the tofu on a baking tray lined with parchment paper, air fry or oven bake at 400°F / 200°C for 20-25 minutes). You can also cook your tofu in a skillet on medium-high heat until dried and crispy. Don’t forget to pour the leftover marinade over the top of the tofu (5 minutes before finishing cooking) to create a sticky sauce. Enjoy your delicious tofu!
