🥬 Cucumber – If you want to add a fresh element to your vegan lettuce wrap you may add small cubes of cucumber. This will also add a medley of vegetable flavors along with the carrot and radish as well.

🥬 Cilantro – A popular herb used in Asian dishes like Thai cuisine. This will make your lettuce tofu wraps more fragrant and will add another layer of freshness as well. Cilantro also adds a vibrant green color to your dish.

Frequently Asked Questions

1. What Is The Best Lettuce For Lettuce Wraps

You can use whatever lettuce you have in hand or what you can find in the market or grocery for your lettuce wraps.

But the best one to use is Butter lettuce AKA Boston or bibb lettuce. It has a mild, sweet, refreshing flavor and is less bitter than the other varieties.

2. How Do I Make My Tofu More Crispy

If you want crispier tofu you can add a tablespoon or 2 of cornstarch or flour on your tofu before frying them.

This will create a crispy, golden brown coating outside the tofu and a juicier texture on the inside.

3. To Make This Recipe, Is It Better To Cook In A Non-stick Skillet Or In A Wok?

If you are going to cook in a large batch of lettuce wraps then a wok is better.

But if you are just making a few portions then the skillet is good. Cooking in a non-stick pan can help lessen the oil you use.
