Vegan Garlic Bread is a crowd-pleasing appetizer. No one can resist the pungent garlicky butter on golden crusted bread!
Vegan Garlic Bread & Vegan Garlic Butter
The taste of vegan garlic bread is garlicky, savory, and buttery. Do you know it’s surprisingly easy to make your own at home?
Once you know how to make it, you probably won’t buy it again! Homemade vegan garlic bread with fresh garlic and herbs tastes far better than the lifeless frozen products.
Vegan garlic bread is perfect to serve with lentil bolognese, gazpacho, leek and potato soup, Thai pumpkin soup, corn soup, and green sauce pasta.
The benefits of making your own dairy-free garlic bread at home are:
1. you can choose the types of bread you like. (Turkish bread, sourdough, French sticks, or gluten-free bread…etc.)
2. You can customise it by adding your favorite herbs like thyme and rosemary. I always make a large tub of vegan garlic butter, since it’s so convenient for cooking. With a spoonful of it, any boring vegetable will instantly become a restaurant-quality creation.
3. Top it with vegan grated cheese or vegan cheese sauce to make vegan cheesy garlic bread.
Vegan Garlic bread Recipe
Only 5 ingredients are required for this recipe. In my opinion, it’s handy to have a small blender to do the hectic chopping for you (always cook smart😙).
- Bread- You can use Turkish bread, sourdough, French baguette (French sticks), Vegan Focaccia Bread or gluten-free bread…etc.
Vegan Garlic butter
- Vegan Butter- I use store-bought. Room temperature and softened ( no melted).
- Fresh Garlic- clean and peeled.
- Fresh Herbs- Parsley with stem removed.
- Salt
How to Make
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C). Place room temperature softened (no melted) vegan butter in a large mixing bowl.
- Clean parsley and remove the stems. Wash and dry with kitchen towels. Place parsley into the small blender. Blend and pulse until parsley is finely chopped. Scoop out into the mixing bowl.
- Place peeled garlic into the small blender, blend and pulse until garlic is minced. Scoop out into the mixing bowl.
- Add salt in and mix softened vegan butter with minced garlic and parsley until well combined.
- Cut your bread into your desired shape and size. Place the bread on the top of a baking tray lined with parchment paper. Spread a generous amount of vegan garlic butter on the top of each slice.
- Place the bread into the pre-heated oven, bake for 15 minutes until golden. Serve when hot and enjoy!😘
Pre-Made Ahead
You can always make a big batch and freeze them (place parchment paper between each slice to prevent sticking). Portion them into freezer bags or sealed containers. They will last up to three months.
Air-Fryer Garlic Bread?
Absolutely! You can air fry garlic bread by adjusting the cooking temperature and time. I always cook my garlic bread in the air fryer at 320°F (160°C) for 10-12 minutes.
Hope you enjoy this easy vegan garlic bread!
